Manchester United are strong contender as Blues step up deal to sign £175,000 a-week Juventus’ best player
Chelsea have stepped up their chase of Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot this summer, according to Italian media site Calciomercato, but they are up against Premier League rivals Manchester United.
However, The Blues have made touch with Rabiot’s agent, who also happens to be his mother, to express their interest in signing him.
Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel wants to add a midfielder this summer, and the Blues believe the France international would be a good fit.
The Blues see Rabiot as an attractive option due to his low cost, with Calciomercato reporting that Juventus will only seek for about €15 million to €20 million for the former PSG player.
Well, The asking price of €15million seems more than reasonable for an established international footballer with plenty of top-flight and Champions League experience.
Rabiot has one year left on his Juventus contract and the Italian side is looking to cash in on the France international this summer.
