Marina Granovskaia has identifies these three ‘top players’ as Chelsea’s January transfer targets
Ahead of January transfer window Chelsea have identify some three quality players again despite massive summer signing.
However, Marina Granovskia pulled a lot of strings to make sure young and more importantly world-class talents landed at Stamford Bridge in this summer transfer window.
Timo Werner from Leipzig, Kai Havertz from Bayer Leverkusen, Ben Chilwell from Leicester City, Thiago Silva from PSG, and Hakim Ziyech from AFC Ajax. To get anyone is a big deal. To get them all together – that’s making a standard.
And it’s bound to get better for Chelsea as they target three more players in January! Looks like Frank Lampard is not going to stop until he makes a dream team. Take a look at the three targets for Chelsea.
1. David Alaba: David Alaba is reportedly leaving Bayern Munich this season. The Austrian international has decided it’s time for a new challenge in his career.
According to rumors, Chelsea are leading the race to sign the highly experienced defender at the moment. Alaba can provide a good option at centre back as well as in the left-back role.
With an aging Thiago Silva, Alaba may just prove to be the ideal signing. He’s just 28 at this moment and has got a good amount of ability left in him.
2. Declan Rice: The name of Declan Rice came up in the summer as well with popular transfer window spokesman Fabrizio Romano tweeting continuously about a possible deal. However, that didn’t go through with West Ham United demanding high fees.
But reports suggest that Declan Rice could be nearing a move this January with Frank Lampard very much interested in the youngster. Chelsea has a huge depth in their midfield with the likes of Kovacic and Jorginho but a player like Declan Rice cannot be ignored. He will only bring in positives for the squad.
3. Matthew Bondswell: Young England left-back Matthew Bondswell is currently on Chelsea’s radar as they lookout for a young left-back option for Ben Chilwell. He’s currently spending time with RB Leipzig.
Both West Ham United and Chelsea are tracking his movements with clubs very much interested. Should he join Chelsea, it will prove to be a good option at the left flank of the defense.
In addition to these three names, Jose Gimenez of Atletico Madrid and Dayot Upamecano lf of RB Leipzig are also being looked at. Both centre backs are in for a possible move to West London.
