Marina Granovskaia to back Tuchel in bid to bring powerhouse Silva replacement to Chelsea
Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel will want summer transfer backing from Marina Granovskaia in his bid to land a more long-term replacement for the ageing Brazilian icon Thiago Silva.
Silva has been outstanding for the Blues since his move from PSG during the summer transfer window and has been the big reason why the club have been so defensively quality under Tuchel over the past couple of months.
However, Chelsea saw Thiago Silva dismissed before the half hour in their defeat to West Brom, at the weekend and And that’s made it clear the Blues require a long-term replacement for the Brazil international, who is evidently reaching the end of his long and successful career.
WHAT IS THE LATEST?
One name in the frame is Bayern Munich’s Niklas Sule, with reports in the media claiming The powerhouse could be allowed to leave the Allianz Arena when the transfer window reopens at the end of the campaign.
He has struggled to be a regular fixture in the Bayern squad this season and with the Germans looking to freshen up the squad over the next couple of windows, the sale of the big defender could help generate a bit of funds.
And Chelsea may position themselves to snap him up, with Tuchel determined to raid the Bundesliga for more talent this season.
In Conclusion…
Silva has been brilliant for Chelsea this season, but that was never going to last as the Premier League is more physically demanding and it was going to effect his performances over the back end of the season.
So the idea of signing a more long-term replacement is a good one, but we are not sure that Sule is the player that will be the immediate replacement.
