Marina makes final decision on £30m-rated Chelsea star ahead of January transfer window

Emerson Palmieri’s future has been up for discussion since last season, and since the signing of Ben Chilwell, his exit rumours have also intensified.

The 26-year-old is currently Chelsea’s second choice left-back and has done a decent job when called upon this season.

Reports claim that the agent of Chelsea star Emerson Palmieri has opened up on his client’s future at Stamford Bridge.

Emerson has attracted interest from Italian giants Inter Milan and Juventus in the winter transfer window, but Chelsea are not too keen to part ways with the Italian in January.

Marcos Alonso is currently Chelsea’s third choice left-back and may well be out of his way in January.

Meanwhile, Ben Chilwell is currently injured and is set to miss this weekend’s clash, after being subbed out in the first half against West Ham.

Emerson gave a good account of himself against the Hammers, and Lampard won’t have to hesitate to play him against Arsenal this weekend.

Speaking about the Chilwell injury after the West Ham game, Lampard said: “I expect he (Chilwell) will be doubtful for Arsenal.

“He turned his ankle, tried to carry on but it was too painful so we’ll have a scan or whatever tomorrow and try to see how bad he is. Reece and Chilly have been doing really well so we hope both their injuries are not too bad and they’ll be in and around those two games over Christmas.”
