‘Masterclass incoming, He will hurt Spurs’ – Blues fans tells Tuchel to start Chelsea player against Tottenham
Chelsea are favourites to progress to the final after beating our London rivals 2-0 in the first-leg at Stamford Bridge last week.
However, The Blues fans have urged Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel to start Timo Werner in tonight’s Carabao Cup semi-final second-leg clash against Tottenham Hotspur.
The 25-year-old started and scored in a 5-1 FA Cup win for the Blues at the weekend against non-league Chesterfield but didn’t start the first-leg against Tottenham Hotspur.
Below are tweets from Chelsea fans urging Tuchel to start Werner:
@CFC_EnW tweeted: “Werner hattrick today!!”
@JoshuaL21208973 tweeted: “Definitely. He can really hurt Spurs.”
@WomboTheCombo tweeted: “Werner masterclass incoming against Tottenham tmr btw.”
@MaidaChelsea tweeted: “Yes please, worth it for his pace. Not his finishing.”
@saunakfootball tweeted: “I want that 4231 again. Expect timo for Lukaku. Havertz and Ziyech shined with that formation as well.”
Meanwhile, Antonio Conte has revealed what Tottenham Hotspur must do tonight to beat Chelsea.
Conte told reporters: “It’s hard, we know we’re facing a really top team that last season won the Champions League and in the summer they invested much money to improve the squad.
“At this moment we’re playing the best in Europe and when you play against this type of team it’s hard.
“Despite our problems with injuries, we need to try to give everything and show great desire to fight and a great personality.
“We have to show that compared to the first game we can improve and try to fight in the best way.”
