Maurizio Sarri Confirms That Attacker Is Staying At Chelsea

Maurizio Sarri has confirmed that Callum Hudson-Odoi will be part of the Chelsea first-team setup next season.

Hudson-Odoi has been one of the breakout stars of our pre-season campaign. In the absence of Eden Hazard, he’s stepped up to the mark.

The 17-year-old has taken to the professional game like a fish to water, even if it is only pre-season.

He had Arsenal’s Hector Bellerin on toast last night. The Spaniard couldn’t handle his electric speed and mazy dribbling.

Sarri appears to have been rather impressed with what he’s seen of Hudson-Odoi since taking charge at Stamford Bridge.

The Italian confirmed following the loss to the Gunners that Hudson-Odoi will be going nowhere this summer. He’s quoted by the Daily Mail saying:

“In the future he will be a very, very strong player for sure. He will stay with us (in the senior squad) for the season.”

Especially with Chelsea competing in the Europa League, there should be plenty of opportunities for Hudson-Odoi to get minutes under his belt this coming season.

We can’t wait to see how he develops under Sarri.
