Medical soon as midfielder agrees 6 year contract with Chelsea
Sporting Lisbon midfielder Manuel Ugarte has agreed a six year contract with Chelsea.
This is According to Portuguese media outlet Record.
However, The report adds that the 22 year old Uruguayan midfielder will arrive in London in the next few days to undergo his Chelsea medical after agreeing personal terms with Chelsea.
Ugarte reportedly signed his contract with Chelsea on Saturday and has gone back to Portugal to take care of everything for the move.
Chelsea beat French club Paris Saint-Germain to the transfer of Ugarte. This is despite PSG offering the 22 year old midfielder more salary than Chelsea.
PSG offered Ugarte wages worth €5million yearly but the midfielder will earn €3.5million yearly at Chelsea. Ugarte chose Chelsea over PSG because he wanted a fulfil his dream of playing in the Premier League.
Chelsea will reportedly pay Sporting Lisbon a fee of €60million plus €5million in bonuses for the transfer of Ugarte.
