When it comes to transfer deals, Leicester City aren’t easy to negotiate with, and Manchester United can attest to that, after they had to pay £80m to sign Harry Maguire, after much wrangle.
Meanwhile, Chelsea have been strongly linked with a move for Leicester City left-back Ben Chilwell. The Blues are believed to be interested in signing a left-back this summer, and Chilwell is a huge target for Chelsea.
Sam Martin, who’s believed to be a reliable reporter, has claimed that Chilwell has even ‘packed up his stuff’ at the Foxes’ training ground on Friday and that medicals with Chelsea is set to happen in the next few days.
Also, twitter account LCFC HQ has reported the news and claimed that a world record fee for a left-sided full-back should be expected as well.
Top-tier source Fabrizio Romano has also claimed that the two clubs are indeed in contact although he couldn’t confirm that the agreement has been reached.
Chelsea have also been linked with Sergio Reguilon and Nicolas Tagliafico as alternative choices for Chilwell.
Just been informed that #Chelsea have made a breakthrough in negotiations for Ben Chilwell. #lcfc
