Mendy sets another new massive Premier League record following Liverpool victory
Chelsea goalkeeper Edouard Mendy has set a new Premier League record following Chelsea’s 1-0 victory over Liverpool on Thursday night.
Following his clean sheet against Liverpool, no other goalkeeper in Premier League history has a better clean sheets percentage than Edouard.
The opposition have failed to score past the former Rennes keeper on 12 occasions from 22 games, giving him a 55% clean sheet record, ahead of Emiliano Martinez and Ederson’s 50%.
Aston Villa keeper Martinez has 19 clean sheets from 38, whilst Manchester City’s Ederson has not been beaten on 67 attempts out of 135.
Former Arsenal goalkeeper Alex Manninger is fourth on the list keeping 47% of clean sheets, with ex Manchester United goalie Anders Lindegaard also on the same percentage.
