According to latest reports, Chelsea top transfer target Declan Rice has admitted he grew up in a family of Chelsea fans.

However, The England midfielder is a transfer target for Manchester United and Chelsea but his latest comments suggest he would prefer a move to Stamford Bridge when he finally leaves West Ham.

Rice played in the Chelsea Academy from age seven until he was released at 14 and picked up by the Hammers.

He made his debut for West Ham as an 18-year-old, quickly establishing himself as a regular before making his England bow two years later. Now a fixture for his country and regular matchday captain for his club, the midfielder is in fine form and rated at £100million.

Asked if he was a Chelsea fan growing up by Neville, Rice confirmed: “Yeah, growing up the whole family was Chelsea.”
