‘My plan is clear’ 21-goal hitman OFFICIALLY addresses rumours he could sign with Chelsea
Chelsea is linked with a transfer move of Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez and has issued an update on his future.
However, After deciding that Romelu Lukaku is not the player that will guide the club back into the habit of winning Premier League and Champions League titles – Thomas Tuchel is looking for another striker for that attack
It is believed that Lukaku has already agreed a move back to Inter Milan on a loan deal – and Martinez is a man that Chelsea are reportedly very much interested in signing over the next few months
The 25-year-old enjoyed a fruitful campaign in Serie A last season, scoring 21 goals in 35 appearances and was on target for Argentina at Wembley on Wednesday night against Italy in the Cup of Champions.
However – amid all the speculation – Martinez has come out and stated that he does not expect to leave San Siro in the transfer window despite interest from Chelsea – and a few other clubs around Europe
Speaking after his nation’s 3-0 win over Italy, he said: ‘My plan is clear: I really want to stay at Inter next season.
‘I’ve not received communications from the club as of today, I want to continue at Inter next season.’
However, it remains where Martinez will play next season as the Blues wants Lukaku replacement.
