New Chelsea sporting director and Graham Potter makes changes ahead of Crystal Palace clash

Finally the international break is almost over, players are already slowly filtering back to Cobham and Graham Potter will be ramping up preparations ahead of his first Premier League match in charge of Chelsea.

The Blues boss has already seen two games postponed during his short time in the Stamford Bridge hotseat and guided Chelsea to a Champions League draw against Red Bull Salzburg in his opening game. It wasn’t the perfect start but there were already some interesting hints at what Potter could offer moving forwards.

The former Brighton coach’s time in charge has been disrupted by the international break but there are sure to be some exciting layers unveiled against Crystal Palace at the weekend. If nothing else, the 47-year-old and his coaching staff have had plenty of time to begin to assess and analyse the squad they have at their disposal.

Away from the pitch, Todd Boehly is still in search of a sporting director following a summer where the US owner took an active role in the transfer market. The club already appear to havefailed in their attempts to land Christoph Freund, but there continue to be plenty of changes behind the scenes with long-serving communications director Steve Atkins the latest to depart the club.

Ahead of the busiest part of the season, with Chelsea racking up nine matches in October, it felt like the perfect time to answer any questions you may have about the Blues and, as always, there is no shortage of things to talk about.
