Nicolas Anelka makes “HUGE” prediction where Chelsea will finish next season

Not many expected Frank Lampard to lead Chelsea to a top four finish, but the Blues legend guided the club to finish fourth in the league and thus qualify the club for the Champions League next season.

Chelsea were hit with a transfer ban ahead of last season, as the Blues weren’t able to make any new signing and lost Eden Hazard to Real Madrid.

However, Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has heavily backed Frank Lampard in the transfer market, with six major signings.

It’s unclear if Lampard will guide Chelsea to win the Premier League next season, but former Chelsea striker and Lampard’s former teammate Nicolas Anelka, has backed Chelsea to do well next season and finish in at least third place.

“I think they have a great chance to win the title. It depends on what Liverpool and Manchester City will do as well,” the former Chelsea striker told Stadium Astro.

“But he’s got the quality to finish fourth in the league last season and, with the signings, he’s got the quality to win it.

“It depends after in terms of the experience of the players whether they are strong enough to race until the end but the quality is in Chelsea as well. “So I believe first, second or third. We will see a great Chelsea at the end.”
