‘No doubt, should be done next week’ – Chelsea ‘confident’ in securing first summer signing
It’s only a matter of time before Chelsea announces one or two summer signings.
There’s no doubt that the new owners of the club will boost Thomas Tuchel’s squad this summer, with some major names anticipated to arrive.
These things take time, and none of us expect anything to be completed right away. That is the case with the Ousmane Dembele ties, which according to Ben Jacobs, are still not a ‘done deal.’
He goes on to say that Chelsea are ‘confident’ in clinching a deal to sign the Barcelona winger as a free agent at the end of the month, with additional information expected next week, which is already this week as he posted his update on Sunday.
So, if Chelsea can get this over the line, it shouldn’t be long until they announce their first summer acquisition.
Not really. There is a difference between playing it safe and being accurate. It’s not a done deal yet so to jump to that conclusion is wrong and clickbaity. But Chelsea are confident, especially with PSG interest cooling. That’s the state of play. More next week. 👀
