‘Offer accepted by Chelsea’ — Club boss confirms next Chelsea deal

West Ham boss David Moyes confirmed the club’s move for Kurt Zouma in his press conference on Friday.

The Hammers have reportedly reached an agreement with Chelsea for the transfer of Romelu Lukaku for a fee of £25m, and the West Ham boss is keen to see the deal go through.

Moyes also admitted that Zouma has completed his medical ahead of the move and all is set for Zouma to become a West Ham player this season.

“We lost Fabian Balbuena this year, we had four center halves last year but this year we only have three which I think is not enough to get through the season

“We have had an offer accepted by Chelsea for Kurt [Zouma] but he is still completing his medical at the moment, so I could not tell you if that is complete yet or not as I have just come in from training.

“I am hoping that goes through and we can get in a fourth centre-half because I think we are short of one this moment in time.”
