Juventus defender Daniele Rugani is the first case of a top-flight footballer who has contracted the dreadful virus, and the Juve player has now tested positive to the coronavirus.
Juventus have released a statement thus: “The footballer, Daniele Rugani has tested positive for Coronavirus-COVID-19 and is currently asymptomatic.
“Juventus Football Club is currently activating all the isolation procedures required by law, including those who have had contact with him.”
Rugani will now be subject to quarantine as well as those who have made contact with him.
Rugani was strongly linked with a move to Chelsea and a deal was close two years ago, but he opted to remain with Juve.
Recently, Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappe was tested for the coronavirus after a recent illness but the France international’s results came back negative.
