OFFICIAL LINEUP: Chelsea vs Rennes – Key star dropped
Chelsea face Rennes at Stamford Bridge in just under an hour, and the teams are in!
Frank Lampard knows that good results in the two matches against Rennes will put his side through, so he resists the temptation to rotate to much.
It’s his first choice team as we’ve seen in recent weeks, with only Kai Havertz missing out. Jorginho steps in to replace him, although it seems likely that the Italian will play deep with N’Golo Kante further forward than he was in Saturday’s win.
Timo Werner plays again out wide on the left, and we really fear for him given the minutes he’s racking up.
Still, if we can win this and the return game after the international break, that leave us two group games where the manager can really switch up his team with qualification secure.
