Paulo Dybala may sign for Chelsea as Juventus ready to sell. Here is why
The Blues are reportedly interested in signing Juventus star Paulo Dybala this summer.
According to Daily Express, Juventus are ready to sell Dybala this summer in order to aid the Serie A club’s hopes of landing Paul Pogba from Manchester United.
The Italian champions have failed to land an effective replacement for Pogba since his departure in 2016, with the likes of Aaron Ramsey, Adrien Rabiot and Rodrigo Bentancur all struggling to match his influence in the middle of the park.
Pogba’s contract is set to expire at the end of next season and Manchester United will be forced to sell the France international this summer to avoid losing him for free in the summer of 2022.
Dybala’s Juventus contract also expires in the summer of 2022 and Juventus will have to sell the Argentine international at the end of the season to avoid losing him for free in the summer of 2022.
Dybala has played 244 games for Juventus since joining the club in a £36m move from Serie A rivals Palermo six years ago.
This season he has made just 16 appearances in all competitions, but his lack of action has largely been down to the injury sustained in January.
