‘People who criticise him have a short memory’ – Evra slams Chelsea player critics
Romelu Lukaku was in top form for Inter last season, as he played a key part scoring 24 goals in 36 games to help Inter win the Serie A.
However, Manchester United legend Patrice Evra has slammed critics of Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku.
The Belgian has failed to reach great heights at Chelsea following a £97.5m move from Inter Milan.
Evra has however said Lukaku shouldn’t have returned to Chelsea, and claims that critics of Lukaku have short memory.
Speaking to Prime Video, Evra said: “People who criticise him have a short memory. Because when he arrived in London he scored and did well; then he got injured and said he missed Inter.
“In the end, he created a bit of a mess with the (Chelsea) fans. He wanted to return to Chelsea at all costs, he should have stayed at Inter after such a high-level season.
“He made that choice there which for me is wrong.”
