“I had an opinion before, during and after about how good they are and nothing has changed,” Man City boss Pep Guardiola said after his team player a 4-4 draw with Chelsea.
“Chelsea is Chelsea and they have been one of the best teams of the last 20 years so I couldn’t expect anything different.
“If you are saying it is a long time since we lost, that is a good sign – today, we didn’t lose so we go away with a good point having created a lot of chances. It was a fair result for both teams.”
Man City are still top of the Premier League table, and Chelsea are still 12 points away and need to be a lot more consistent to even dream about challenging City for trophies.
However, games like this one, as well as the 4-1 win over Tottenham last Monday, show that the Blues already have enough talent to face the biggest Premier League sides.
