Pep Guardiola ‘reveals’ why he’s backing Chelsea to comeback stronger to compete for the Premeir League “Don’t be surprised ”
Manchester City boss, Pep Guardiola has backed Chelsea to be amongst the contenders for the Premier League title in a few years.
The City boss was speaking after his side’s 3-0 win against neighbours, Manchester United over the weekend.
Liverpool and Arsenal have rivalled City in recent years, but Guardiola believes that Chelsea will also start to challenge them again soon.
“Of course Arsenal are back and Newcastle arrive, Chelsea are in the process to restructure a few things and they need time, but they will do it with the manager they have [Pochettino] and the investment they have done,” the Man City head coach said.
“In the past it was Liverpool.
“They make the challenge higher and higher, and help make us a better team in all departments. They challenge us like never a team has done before in my period here.”
