Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi was allowed to return to Chelsea’s training on Tuesday, despite his arrest at the weekend.

Hudson-Odoi was arrested in the early hours of Sunday morning after an alleged row with a model he met online.

The academy product met the unnamed woman online before sending a vehicle to pick her up, thus breaking the lockdown restrictions. Things turned sour after the woman rang the police and an ambulance, with the police appearing at Hudson-Odoi’s apartment.

The 19-year-old has since been released on bail and is due to return to a police station in June. The winger was allowed to take part in training by Chelsea boss Frank Lampard, and the Blues manager as well as the club are yet to release a statement regarding Hudson-Odoi’s action.

Meanwhile, Good Morning Britain presenter Piers Morgan has slammed Chelsea star Callum Hudson-Odoi for breaking lockdown rules, and believes that the young winger should be banned from playing.

He wrote on Twitter: “These idiots unfairly tarnish the reputations of all footballers, and make a mockery of the ‘safety first’ plan to bring back the Premier League.

“They should be told if they get caught breaking lockdown rules like this, they’re banned from playing if football restarts.”
