Player to get dream Chelsea shirt number if Marina Granovskaia seals £80m deal
Chelsea’s pursuit of West Ham midfielder Declan Rice have been given a major boost as the Blues are ready to offer him his dream shirt number if he makes the switch to Stamford Bridge.
Despite splashing over £200m in the summer, Frank Lampard is being tipped to bolster his squad even further. Being linked with the Blues is their former youth player, Declan Rice who has become a prominent figure in West Ham United.
The England International has been putting in some impressive performance at the London Stadium and Chelsea have not been shy in showing their interest.
According to report, Declan Rice has changed his agents and is now represented by his father Sean, who is a Chelsea season ticket holder.
The report also states that an £80m transfer is more likely in the summer rather than January and this scenario would see the 21-year-old return to his boyhood club after being released as a youngster.
However, his shirt number have been a major concern for some fans as he’s worn no.41 for West Ham ever since he broke into the first-team. Things have been different at the national team as he’s worn no.5 and no.8 during the most recent international break.
Rice might be offered any of this shirt number currently being worn by Jorginho and Ross Barkley respectively.
Ross Barkley does not look like a player that will be staying at Chelsea after his loan spell at Aston Villa and Jorginho has been tipped with a move away from the club.
