Pochettino should come and take me back to Chelsea – Chelsea Loanee star Cries out after not playing a single game yet

Andrey Santos has yet to play a Premier League minute since joining Nottingham Forest on loan from Chelsea.

The 19-year-old midfielder delighted Blues supporters during preseason, so there is understandable concern over his future.

Calls are building for him to return to Stamford Bridge in January, either to stay or to find a better-suited loan club.

According to The Athletic, There are already calls for Chelsea to recall Andre Santos in January, which the club could do by activating a break clause in the loan agreement. Forest also incur mutually-agreed financial penalties for not playing Santos when he is fit.

However, the current circumstances is not conducive to such an outcome. Chelsea is in continual contact with Forest and Santos in order to complete this transaction.

‘Wrong destination’: Reporters list two reasons why Barcelona is still interested in Santos.

Twomey points out that Forest pay a financial penalty every time they don’t employ the midfielder when he’s fit, so if we want to recall him in January and they’re still not playing him, they’re unlikely to object. It’s also confirmed that he has a recall clause.

While this is cause for alarm, there is no need to panic just yet.
