Possible Chelsea signing wants £8.4Million a season contract
According to an Italian football journalist, Chelsea target and Juventus midfielder Paulo Dybala may price himself out of a move to the Premier League.
Dybala is a player that been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League ever since the opening of the January window. but since he decided to stay put until the end of the season, he is now free to sign for a new club on a free deal
It is no secret in the media that Thomas Tuchel wants the board to back him in the transfer window and add a few players to the squad that can make a serious difference, and a free move for Dybala is definitely on the agenda
However, amid all the speculation that Chelsea are prepared to offer the Argentine superstar a move to the Premier League – it seems that he may be asking for too much money for most clubs to be happy with
Giancarlo Padovan believes that the Argentine international’s £8.4 million demands are too high, despite being available for a free transfer with his contract expiring: “He is a proud player, not depressed,” Padovan told Sky (via Sport Witness).
“He knows that besides Juventus there are many important teams, he knows that he can go to Atletico or stay in Italy, at Inter.
“I don’t think he will earn the €10m (£8.4m) euros a year he is asking for, but he wants to prove that Juve was wrong not to confirm him.”
It is easy to see why so many clubs are interested in a player that would cost around £60 million to sign – so the fact that clubs can get him for free – it will be an interesting one to see just where he ends up.
However, we do not really need him – especially if he is just looking for one more big payday
