Poyet finally reacts after Chelsea reach agreement to sign Brazilian star
Gustavo Poyet, a former Chelsea player, responded to the Blues’ selection of Raphinha.
If the trade goes through, the Brazilian winger will be a terrific addition to Chelsea, according to Poyet.
Fabrizio Romano, a transfer analyst, claims that Leeds United and Chelsea have reached a £60million agreement for Raphinha.
While Barcelona is competing to complete a deal that would bring Raphinha to Camp Nou, their budgetary limitations have prevented them.
Speaking to Lord Ping, Poyet stated that the 25-year-old would be playing in a much different role from his time at Leeds United if he moved to Chelsea.
Poyet said: “Raphinha is a very good player. We need to see if he can step up at a different club because he was the star man at Leeds and now he is going to be one of many great players at Chelsea – it is a different responsibility.”
