Premier League sends ‘massive’ warning to Chelsea over Willian

Days after Willian urged Chelsea to allow him travel to Brazil and be with his family, the Premier League have sent a memo asking all Premier League clubs to strongly advise their players not to travel abroad,

However, this is according to a report on Daily Mail.

The travel advice from the Premier League is not only because of Government advice but also because the league want to avoid a situation where players are unable to re-enter the country when matches resume.

The Premier League warned clubs that it won’t consider the postponement of a match as a result of one or more players either being unable to re-enter the UK due to travel restrictions or self-isolating as a result of international travel contrary to this advice’.

Players are also told to identify which of their friends and relatives are likely to be in a higher risk group and to minimise risk accordingly.
