VAR has caused plenty of controversy just eight games into the Premier League season
Tottenham Hotspur occupy top spot in the Premier League as the top-flight domestic action pauses for the weekend due to the international break.
Arsenal are right on Spurs’ heels after eight games with the two sides boasting almost identical records, with the same number of matches won and drawn as well as the same number of goals conceded. Tottenham have scored two more goals, though, as they sit first via their superior goal difference.
West Ham and Crystal Palace have both enjoyed impressive starts and sit in the top half while Chelsea and Fulham are both on 11 points with Brentford sitting 15th with seven points.
