Problem solved as Chelsea could sign the top-class central defender for just £60m

According to Football Insider, Chelsea have moved their number one central defender target to the 25 year-old Atletico Madrid talented centre-back Jose Gimenez after failing in their efforts to make an agreement with their English Premier League rivals, West Ham for the 21 year-old ace, Declan Rice.

However, Football Insider confirm that transfer discussions concerning the England ace have now ended, with the Blues failure to get the David Moyes’ side to budge from their whopping £80million asking price for the 21- year-old English sensational player.

Football Insider also states that Jose Gimenez’s release clause still remains whopping £110million, but the Frank Lampard’s side are expected to sign the 25-year-old Uruguayan sensational centre back for a region of just £60million.

Jose Gimenez has been reduced to 55 appearances over the last 2 campaigns due to his continuous injury problems, nonetheless the Atletico Madrid talented defender has great experience at the top level and he is regarded as one of the best centre-backs for his age in world of football.

Football Insider confirm that Chelsea will make a switch for Jose Gimenez once Atletico Madrid’s UEFA Champions League season is over, they will play against the German Bundesliga outfit, RB Leipzig in the quarter-finals next Thursday.
