Pulisic and Mount start, Strongest Predicted Chelsea lineup (4-3-3) to face Liverpool

Chelsea set to face the Premier League champions Liverpool tonight at Anfield. However, the Blues are currently third in the standings with a slender one-point advantage over both Leicester City and Manchester United.

Meanwhile, with the Foxes having already played his penultimate game of the season, the Blues have the opportunity to secure Champions League football for next term by winning at Anfield. That won’t be an easy task, considering the Reds have not lost a league game at home since April 2017.

Kepa Arrizabalaga is expected to return in goal ahead of Willy Caballero. The Spaniard made five saves during the previous meeting between the clubs in the fifth round of FA Cup, where the Blues registered a 2-0 win. He will need to produce another solid performance for his team.

Lampard could revert to the traditional four-man backline for this game. We are fancying Cesar Azpilicueta and Marcos Alonso to take up the right and left-back positions respectively. Antonio Rudiger, who has recaptured his form over the past few games, should accompany Kurt Zouma at the heart of the defence.

In the centre of the park, Jorginho should once again partner Mateo Kovacic. The Italian has lacked the consistency in his performances during the backend of the season, but he should get the nod with N’Golo Kante still out with a hamstring problem.

Further forward, Mason Mount should take up the attacking midfield role. Christian Pulisic should return to the mix after being an unused substitute on Sunday with a minor injury. The USA international should slot into his preferred left-wing position.

Willian should feature on the opposite flank while Olivier Giroud will most certainly lead the attack. Giroud bagged his fourth goal from as many starts over the weekend. He has a good scoring record against the Reds and has netted seven times from 15 meetings.
