According to the recent finding from talkSPORT, the Blues will slide one step backwards in the financial table if Saudi Arabia Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman completes the takeover at Newcastle United.
The Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia plan ambitious move to buy the Magpies from their current owner Mike Ashley for around £300m. The Saudis’ wealth is estimated at hulking £260bn. They’ll become the richest club in the Premier League if they manage to complete the deal, leaving Man City and their £23.3bn far behind.
Roman Abramovich’s wealth is currently at £9.6bn, meaning that Chelsea will move one point behind in the financial Premier League.
This will see the Blues becoming third, which is not far off the mark too – Lampard’s outfit are currently 4th in the Premier League table, only 5 points behind Leicester City.
