RB Leipzig makes Dayot Upamecano Chelsea’s January transfer decision
According to reports, Chelsea are keen to secure the signing of RB Leipzig star player Dayot Upamecano this January.
Meanwhile, reports has claimed that RB Leipzig have no plans to sell Dayot Upamecano to Chelsea in this current January transfer window but can wait till summer.
The centre-back has a £38m release clause which does not become active until June, but he has still been linked with a mid-season exit.
The likes of Chelsea, United and Bayern Munich have been credited with an interest, but Leipzig are unlikely to consider any offers at the moment.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Leipzig are prepared to determined to keep hold of Upamecano irrespective of the transfer offer on the table.
Upamecano has publicly stated that he has been in contact with other clubs and Romano claims that Leipzig may only consider his sale next summer.
The Frenchman has accumulated 134 appearances for the Bundesliga outfit since joining them from Red Bull Salzburg four years ago.
