REPORT: After talks with Lampard Chelsea chiefs set Jorginho transfer asking price

Chelsea are looking for a big fee to let go of Jorginho amid interest from Maurizio Sarri’s Juventus.

Chelsea have held talks with Frank Lampard over the future of Jorginho. Juventus boss Maurizio Sarri is interested in a reunion with the 28-year-old midfielder, who he took to Stamford Bridge from Napoli in 2018.

However, Juventus are on the hunt for a midfielder because Miralem Pjanic is set to be moved on after failing to win over Sarri.

A swap deal involving Jorginho has been mooted, while the Serie A giants are also hoping to trade Pjanic for Barcelona’s Arthur.

If Juventus look to secure a cash deal for Jorginho then they face stumping up a huge fee after Chelsea chiefs and Lampard discussed his future.

According to Tuttosport, the Blues are looking for a fee between £58.1million (€65m) and £62.6m (€70m). He is under contract until the summer of 2023, which explains the size of the fee.

If Chelsea were to sell Jorginho for their desired price then it would represent a basic profit on the initial £50m fee they handed Napoli two summers ago.
