Report: Blues offer personal terms to Erling Haaland

Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel is desperate to land a striker this summer transfer window and he is not stopping until he gets a top quality player.

Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland is the top target for the former PSG manager but it is becoming clear that a deal will not happen now because the player and the club are not ready for the move.

The next move for the Blues team is to bring back Belgium striker Romelu Lukaku to the Emirates Stadium following claims that the club owner, Roman Abramvich is keen on him and ready to meet his asking price.

The only issue has been the fact that a return to Chelsea is not in the plans for Romelu Lukaku while Inter Milan will not let him go cheaply.

However, football journalist, Dean Jones, Chelsea has claimed that the West London outfit have offered personal terms to Inter Milan forward Romelu Lukaku.

Speaking on The Football Terrace, Jones said, “He has always had it in his head that he wouldn’t mind going back to Chelsea and proving what he’s capable of.

“Chelsea have made an offer in terms of personal terms. So, they know what they’re willing to pay him. But it’s not really moved at this stage so we’ve just got to wait again. Over these next two weeks we’ll see what movement is made on the Chelsea striker front.”

He added, “If Haaland can’t be done I think they will try for Lukaku, but Inter of course don’t want to sell him.”

It would be recalled that in 2019, Lukaku joined Inter Milan from Man United for a £74 million deal. The 28-year-old has since become a force at the Italian outfit with 95 appearances, scoring 64 goals and registering a further 16 assists.

In the 2020/21 campaign, Lukaku cemented himself as one of Europe’s most prolific scorers as he netted 30 goals in 44 appearances for the Italian champions.
