REPORT: Bundesliga club keen on signing new Chelsea star

Chelsea signed Malang Sarr on a free transfer, after the 21-year-old’s contract ran out with Nice.

Sarr made 119 appearances for Nice in all competitions after breaking into the first team set-up in 2016 having come through the youth ranks and he’s also represented France at various youth levels including U21.

Although well rated, Chelsea’s plan for Sarr is to go out on loan for one season before returning to the club, a better player.

Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia said about the club’s plan for Sarr: “The opportunity to sign Malang was one we could not miss.

“He is a tremendous prospect and we will be monitoring him closely during his loan period, hoping he will soon be back at Chelsea.

“We are very happy to welcome him to the club today.”

According to Get French Football News, Chelsea are in talks with Bayer Leverkusen over a loan deal for Malang Sarr. According to the report, the Bundesliga outfit are looking for a centre-back, and has now turned to Sarr who can play as a left-footed centre-back and also play at left-back.
