Chelsea boss has prioritized bringing in world-class defenders and the Blues are now set to reach an agreement to sign Milan Skriniar from Inter Milan.
However, 25-year old Slovakian defender Milan Skriniar has been regarded by many as a world-class defender and his impressive performances for Inter Milan in the league and champions league has caught the attention of the Blues boss and other top clubs. According to reports, Chelsea have been in contact with the player for several weeks now.
Chelsea have held advanced talks with the player and the defender is reportedly ready to join the club as he excited by the project at Chelsea. The Blues are reportedly ready to match Inter Milan’s £77million Valuation of the player as talks are progressing well.
Milan Skriniar is one of the best Centre-backs in Europe and his arrival to Chelsea will bring in massive defensive stability and quality. Despite the huge fee, Skriniar will be able to transform the Blues’ defence which has been so leaky under Frank Lampard this season and the Blues have to spend big to sign quality players.
Also, Chelsea are targeting a move for a left-back as both Emerson and Marcos Alonso have failed to impress Frank Lampard when deployed in that role. Tagliafico will reportedly cost Chelsea a fee in the region of £35million to complete the signing of the player.
