Report: Chelsea star could move to AC Milan this January despite regular starts

AC Milan are interested in signing Chelsea defender Andreas Christensen, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.

However, AC Milan have now switched their attention to Christensen after failing to reach an agreement with Barcelona for Jean-Clair Todibo.

Christensen has dropped to fourth choice under Frank Lampard this season behind Antonio Rudiger, Kurt Zouma and Fikayo Tomori.

With the 23 year old defender making just 12 appearances for Chelsea this season across all competitions, it is believed Christensen could be tempted to leave Chelsea in January.

AC Milan reportedly want a loan deal with an option to buy but it is believed Chelsea would prefer an outright sale if the Danish international centre-back is to leave the club this month.

He’s a good player and we shouldn’t let him go easily. But if Frank has decided he prefers Fikayo Tomori and young Marc Guehi more, it might be sensible to let him go.
