REPORT: Christensen breaks finger in Chelsea training ahead of Aston Villa clash

According to reports, Christensen broke a finger in training around 10 days ago, and is now expected to play with stints in his finger.

This is not the first time Christensen will experience such, after his nose was broken in the game against Manchester United, and the defender played several games afterwards in a mask.

Christensen has started 15 out of Chelsea’s 29 league fixtures this season, and was beginning to be a central figure in the Chelsea team before the league was suspended. His career at Chelsea has been full of ups and downs.

Having ousted David Luiz from the first eleven under Antonio Conte, Maurizio Sarri only featured the Dane in 8 league games.

Christensen who was once linked with Barcelona and Manchester City, will see his contract wind up in 2022, and he’d be keen to know if he’d play a role in the Chelsea team under Frank Lampard.
