Report: Lukaku’s new Chelsea jersey number finally revealed
Chelsea are yet to announce the squad number for new signing Romelu Lukaku but the Premier League have now leaked the info.
According to the official Premier League website, the new Chelsea striker will wear the no.18 shirt for the Blues in the upcoming season.
The last Chelsea player to wear the no.18 was Olivier Giroud, who just departed for AC Milan this summer.
Lukaku wore the no.9 shirt during his time at Manchester United and Inter Milan but it is unavailable with Tammy Abraham the current holder.
Abraham has been linked with a Chelsea exit this summer and Lukaku could decide to switch to the no.9 shirt should Abraham leave the club this summer.
