Manchester United attacking midfielder Angel Gomes is reportedly considering a move to Chelsea after failing to agree terms with Manchester United despite a year of talks.
The 19-year-old’s contract at United expires on June 30 and he is yet to agree terms on a new deal after rejecting an offer of £20,000 a week in January.
According to The Telegraph, Manchester United have put together a new offer in a bid to convince him to snub Chelsea and remain at Manchester.
Gomes currently earns around £17,000 weekly and Manchester United have offered him a new deal worth £30,000 a week, with bonuses for appearances, goals and trophies won.
Gomes reportedly rejected United’s previous offer as he wants guaranteed first-team football.
He’s considering a move to Chelsea because Frank Lampard is a massive advocate of promoting youth, with the likes of Mason Mount, Fikayo Tomori and Reece James having all developed under him this term.
Gomes is said to have recruited super-agent Pini Zahavi, who is believed to have held talks with Chelsea transfer chief Marina Granovskaia.
