According to Sky Sports Italy, Inter Milan boss Antonio Conte is determined to sign Chelsea left-back Marcos Alonso as he looks to build an even more competitive Inter Milan squad ahead of next season.
Alonso’s future at Stamford Bridge is up in the air, after the Blues completed the signing of left-back Ben Chilwell from Leicester for £50m.
Chelsea boss Frank Lampard is reportedly open to letting either Alonso or Emerson Palmieri leave the club this summer following the signing of Chilwell.
Alonso and Conte worked together during the Italian’s two-year spell in charge of Chelsea in which they won a Premier League and the FA Cup.
Alonso signed for Chelsea in 2016 from Fiorentina for a fee of around £24 million. He has scored 22 goals in 149 appearances for the Blues.
