REPORT: Pep Guardiola reveals five key players could be out of Chelsea clash
Chelsea welcome Manchester City to Stamford Bridge on Saturday with the Blues hoping to continue our unbeaten start to the season.
However, Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has revealed the defending champions could be without five key players when they face Chelsea on Saturday.
Pep Guardiola said: “We have John (Stones), Aymeric (Laporte), Oleks (Zinchenko), Rodri and I think Gundogan – all of them injured.”
The injuries to Laporte and Stones leaves Guardiola with Nathan Ake as the senior centre-back to partner Ruben Dias ahead of the game against Chelsea.
Zinchenko’s calf problem leaves Kyle Walker and Joao Cancelo as the only two senior full-backs available at Manchester City.
