REPORT: Premier League make decision after FIFA ban Thiago Silva from playing for Chelsea

According to latest report, The Premier League has reacted to FIFA banning Thiago Silva from featuring for Chelsea in the Premier League this weekend.

Chelsea and other Premier League clubs prevented their South American stars from heading to international duty due to them needing to fly to ‘red-list’ countries.

As a result, FIFA invoked a ‘five-day’ restriction on those involved, which include Anfield Brazilian trio Alisson, Fabinho and Roberto Firmino, opponents Leeds’s Raphinha, champions City’s Ederson and Gabriel Jesus, Chelsea’s Thiago Silva and Manchester United’s Fred.

The Premier League is hopeful that Thiago Silva and the other 10 Premier League players banned from playing this weekend will be allowed to take to the field.

This is according to Daily Mail with the report claiming the Premier League is ready to take the fight to the Court of Arbitration for Sport should FIFA fail to remove the ban.

Premier League chief executive Richard Masters has reportedly assured clubs that are affected that a solution will be reached on Thursday.
