Report: RB Leipzig key man could make switch to Chelsea this summer
According to Christian Falk, Chelsea have a wishlist of potential managers to replace the current head coach Frank Lampard – and amongst the names already mentioned with the job is RB Leipzig leader Julian Nagelsmann.
The board are rumoured to have been considering the future of the Englishman for some time now, with the Blues without a win in the top-flight in their last five games.
It is a run that has seen them drop down to ninth in the standings and owner Roman Abramovich is said to be considering potential replacements.
Several names have been linked with the position, from Thomas Tuchel to Brendan Rodgers, and a recent report from Christian Falk has stated that there is indeed a list of potential successors which include these bosses that have already been linked.
However, the list is also understood to include current RB Leipzig chief Julien Nagelsmann, a name that has been mentioned with the job in the past but not officially linked with the job as Massimiliano Allegri Ralph Hassenhuttl, Tuchel and Rodgers have recently.
Julian has managed two clubs thus far (not including his spells as a reserve team manager) in 1899 Hoffenheim and RB Leipzig.
He is yet to manage outside of Germany but his record showcases a head coach who could certainly be considered one of the best in Europe.
Although Nagelsmann has yet to win a trophy as a manager, his work in Germany’s first division has not gone unnoticed.
