According to a report from the footballer’s native France, Jose mourinho and Spurs are lining up a move to sign Chelsea centre-back Kurt Zouma.
Tottenham Hotspur manager Jose Mourinho has informed Daniel Levy and the Spurs board that he would like France international as part of his squad next campaign.
Jose knows Zouma well after the duo worked together at Stamford Bridge and it seems like the former Chelsea coach would like to manage the centre-back once again. At this time, it’s unclear if Blues would be willing to sell the £26m-rated centre-back, or if Spurs would be able even to afford him.
Jose may want a Kurt reunion, but given the loan that Tottenham have taken out, it seems like they could have to sell any footballers to raise funds for transfers this summer, which could make a move for the Chelsea centre-back quite tricky.
However, it would be unwise of Chelsea to sell the Frenchman to Spurs anyway as Tottenham are a direct rival in terms of the race to secure a top-four finish each campaign. If Frank Lampard, for some reason, decided to let Kurt leave, Chelsea would be best served to let him join a club who aren’t a direct competitor in the PL.
