Chelsea defender Andreas Christensen was shown a red card just before halftime in Chelsea’s 2-0 defeat to Liverpool on Sunday after a foul on Sadio Mane.
Christensen was originally given a yellow card, but after reviewing the incident on the VAR monitor, referee Paul Tierney upgraded it to a red card.
Liverpool substitute players clapped and cheered after Tierney upgraded Christensen’s yellow card to a red card but Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp wasn’t happy his players clapped and cheered the Chelsea red card.
Journalist Julien Laurens, who witnessed the incident, tweeted: “Red card for Christensen. The Liverpool players in the stands clap and sort of celebrate.
“Klopp turns round from the touch line and shouts: “Are you crazy? We never ever do that, ok?”
