Chelsea have finally confirmed the signing of 24 year old forward Timo Werner from RB Leipzig this morning.
The Germany international is expected to join his new teammates in July after the completion of the Bundesliga.
Having scored over 30 goals for Leipzig in 2019-20, Chelsea boss Frank Lampard signed Werner to help solve Chelsea’s goalscoring problems this season.
Werner will be joined by Hakim Ziyech at Stamford Bridge next season, with the Morocco international arriving for £33m ($43m) from Ajax.
