REVEALED: Thomas Tuchel’s plans for Chelsea as board eye Lampard’s replacement
As we all know Chelsea boss Frank Lampard is under massive pressure following the defeat on Sunday against Manchester City.
However, The Chelsea legend now has the worst points per game in the Roman Abramovich era, but he’s still being backed by the club to turn things around after a recent slump in the last six games.
Meanwhile, Lampard’s future at the club may not be for the long term as the Blues board haven’t held talks over a contract extension with the club.
Former AC Milan and PSG bosses Max Allegri and Thomas Tuchel are reportedly the two top candidates in the list to potentially replace Lampard.
For Tuchel, the recently axed boss from PSG is keen to return to management and will be delighted to manage one of England’s biggest clubs.
According to the Telegraph, Allegri and Tuchel are fighting to place themselves at the front of the queue for the Chelsea job should Chelsea decide to sack Lampard and both managers have made a play for the role at Stamford Bridge.
Tuchel believes he has a lot to offer and is keen to prove that PSG were wrong to sack him after guiding them to the Champions League final last season.
