REVEALED: What Lampard asked Abramovich to do before the transfer window ends

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich backed Frank Lampard during the summer transfer window, with the Blues spending over £200million on new signings.

The Blues also came close to losing an attacking player late in the summer transfer window.

German champions Bayern Munich made a late move to sign Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi, having failed in their attempts to sign Ivan Perisic from Inter Milan on a permanent deal.

According to The Guardian, when Bayern Munich made an offer for Hudson-Odoi, Chelsea boss Frank Lampard asked Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich not to let Hudson-Odoi leave the club.

Lampard believes Hudson-Odoi has the quality to become an important player for Chelsea.
