Chelsea confidently ends Manchester United’s 19-game unbeaten with a 3-1 victory at Wembley on Sunday.
Chelsea bossed the match from start to finish and thoroughly deserved to go through to meet Arsenal in the final.
Mason Mount, who scored Chelsea’s second goal, has revealed what Lampard told the players after the victory over Manchester United.
According to Mount, Lampard told the players in the dressing room that they must treat Chelsea’s remaining games as finals.
“The gaffer just said we’ve got two massive finals before we’re here again,” Mount revealed. “We need that mindset to try and secure the top four.”
“You always want to turn up in big games and I thought we did that today,” Mount added.
“We came in with extra motivation and it will be a massive final for us – we want to win trophies.”
